The Daily Aus announces editorial hires

The Daily Aus has welcomed three new hires to the editorial team with Lucy Tassell joining the team as a sub-editor, while Chloe Christie and Sunny Adcock as content producers.  Tassel will be responsible for fact-checking, sub-editing and researching upcoming news sources.  Prior to that, she was a media advisor to NSW Upper House MLC, Emma Hurst. She has also worked as an audio specialist at Atomi education, coach and content writer at Masters Academy Training and has worked as an intern at Theatre Mainline and the ABC.  Chloe Christie enters the group as a multimedia journalist. Prior to this role, Christie was with the Seven Network as a 7News field producer and an assistant chief of staff.  Sunny Adcock joins the Daily Aus after helming various editorial positions including editor at UTS Vertigo, media assistant and program host at Ethnic Communities Council of NSW, and national social and video news producer at Network 10.   

SENQ welcomes Meninga and expands in WA

Nine appoints head of strategy

Nine Entertainment has appointed former Bauer Media CEO Matt Stanton as head of strategy to focus on exploring growth opportunities.  Stanton is the first person to be appointed to a strategic position at Nine since the departure of Alexi Baker in 2020.  Baker worked at the NRL and was involved in exploring merger and acquisition opportunities whilst also securing broadcast rights deals for the network.  Stanton has been running Barambah organics for the past two years and has worked across a wide range of sectors including food and beverage and retail, as head of transformation for Woolworths.  He was the chief executive of Bauer Media and has also worked as a chief executive of the Isentia owned content marketing agency King Content, which is now defunct. The appointment of a head of strategy comes after the two years of volatile conditions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic to focus on growth.
