ABC recruits Netflix ANZ’s Oliver-Taylor inaugural chief content officer
By Neeraja Gopalakrishnan in Media News on Monday, 13th March 2023 at 2:33pmABC Managing Director David Anderson has announced the appointment of Netflix’s director of production for Australia and New Zealand Chris Oliver-Taylor to the newly created role of chief content officer.
The chief content officer will report to the managing director and will be responsible for the new content division, created by merging the current Entertainment & Specialist and Regional & Local divisions.
David Anderson said the new role and the appointment come at an important time in ABC’s history.
“Chris is one of the most experienced, both locally and internationally, content leaders in the industry with a well-honed sense of audience expectations and creative trends across platforms and technologies,” he said.
